Digital Resilience for Welsh Badger Groups

Empowering Local Conservation with Professional Infrastructure

Across Wales, local badger groups are the frontline defenders of our wildlife. However, many groups lack the digital tools needed to securely manage data, coordinate rescues, and campaign effectively. This project provides a "Professional Toolkit" to ensure every Welsh badger group has the authority and efficiency of a modern charity.

Collaborative Network By using a unified infrastructure we allow several groups to combine resources from training to support between them.

Unified Web Presence (Google Sites) We are deploying professional websites for each local group. This supports a network of digital marketing excercises which will help groups going forward and also can provide advice and can split some specialisms between groups where needed to support each other.

Google Workspace for Nonprofits Moving groups to the @badgergroup.wales or their own domain.

• Secure Storage: Using Google Drive for sensitive sett records and crime scene photos.

• Collaboration: Using Shared Drives to ensure knowledge isn't lost when volunteers move on.

• Professionalism: Official email addresses to improve communication with the Senedd, Police, and local developers.

• Domain setup for the website e.g yourbadergroup.org.uk (You will need to pay for this registration every year - around £20)

• A setup of a free Google Workspaces account (same as what Badger Trust and other Groups use)

  • This allows you to setup several group emails/users and flexible storage on google drive and many other facilities

• A The option of a digital phone system (with an 03 number) calls in and out are chargable
